About Jeremiah Kamama

Hi there!

I am an autodidact interested in AI, privacy in crypto, and DeFi.

In 2020, thanks to Omdena, I worked with 34 Machine Learning Engineers from 19 countries on the World Food Programme Disaster Response Challenge . In two months, we developed a relief package tool that would predict the affected populations and create customized relief packages.

I partnered with Blockchain Club at Columbia University and published a piece titled "What Crypto Means to Africa ". In the post, I look into the different crypto applications on the continent. I cover sector deep dives, blockchain-native innovations from Africa, bull and bear cases for crypto adoption in Africa.

I was at Audacity Fund as a Summer Analyst. I won a grant from the DeFi Education Fund to work on an Africa crypto policy-related report(unfortunately the project was discontinued). In September 2022, I spoke on a panel at the ETH Safari on "VC investments in web3: Tokens vs Equity - Decentralized VCs"

I'm looking for new challenges to work on especially in the privacy or the general crypto research space. You can reach me through Twitter or [email protected] if you want to chat more!
